Dr. Dario Ciambelli

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Ciambelli served as Chief Resident of Surgery, where he gained recognition from colleagues and peers alike for his leadership and competency. Dr. Ciambelli also completed a fellowship in bariatrics and abdominal trauma surgery and is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support.

After completing his specialty, he joined the Gastro and Obesity Center of San Javier Hospital in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he mastered his laparoscopic skills and performed many hundreds of advanced laparoscopic, endoscopic, and bariatric procedures. Shortly after joining the practice, he was named Chief of Surgery and directed all internal operations. Alongside to his private practice, he supports a government program for low-income people operating in a system called "Seguro Popular" which operates very similar to an NGO.

He also is a General Surgery professor at the University of Guadalajara and is the co-founder and president of Toastmasters International Workshop of Puerto Vallarta.
