BENEFITS OF FULL FACELIFT SURGERY IN MEXICO

Traveling to Mexico for Full Facelift surgery has several advantages:

  • It can save you up to 70% compared to U.S. prices
  • Highest quality with U.S. Trained plastic surgeons in Mexico
  • Best results with only FDA approved materials and implants
  • Concierge service guiding you every step of the way

Full Facelift surgery can cost as much as $15,000 USD in the U.S. and, because it is generally not covered by most Health Insurance plans, is typically paid out-of-pocket or financed with high interest rate loans. With Health & Wellness Bazaar, traveling to Mexico for Full Facelift surgery is safe, easy, and affordable with surgery packages starting at $5,500 USD for a Full Facelift with minimum wait times.

Our medical providers are able to offer such low pricing compared to the U.S. because of the low cost of land, labor, and materials in the destinations where they practice. The safety, quality, and efficacy of the Facelift surgery is never compromised despite the low pricing and the patient experience is well beyond U.S. standards. Currently we have plastic surgeons in Tijuana, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, and Cancun, Mexico.

OUR SIMPLE PROCESS

Undergoing Facelift surgery with any of our doctors is very easy. The first step is to review your case with our surgeons to determine the type of Facelift surgery that is most optimal for you. To do so, all we need from you is your medical history and photos of your face (front, sides, looking up and down). After reviewing your case, our surgeons may recommend a combination of facelift procedures for best results.

If you do not have time to fill out the medical questionnaire at this moment, please submit an inquiry and we will assign you a Care Manager who will email you shortly with more information on facelift options and pricing as well as instructions to review your case. Your Care Manager will coordinate your remote consultation with our surgeons, check availability and schedule all your appointments for your surgery.

THE FACELIFT PROCEDURES

Anyone who is unsatisfied with the appearance of loose, creased, or sagging facial skin occurring in each third of the face may be a candidate for full facelift surgery. There are three primary kinds of facelift surgery: a full facelift, mid facelift, and mini facelift. Patients whose primary concern is the appearance of the neck and lower face may be best suited for a mini facelift. If your primary area of concern is the middle of the face, such as the area under the eyes, smile lines, and a downturned mouth—a mid-facelift may be a more appropriate treatment. If you only wish to address wrinkling and other signs of aging in the brow, a brow lift may be your best option.

Adult men and women considering any type of facelift surgery should be in good overall health, with no medical conditions that could increase the risk of complications or inhibit healing. You can depend on our plastic surgeons to carefully assess your candidacy before recommending any plastic surgery procedure. During your consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss your cosmetic goals and preferences with your surgeon and he will take the time to address any questions or concerns to help set your mind at ease and manage your expectations.

On the day of your surgery, you will be taken to a private surgical suite where a trained anesthesiologist will administer general anesthesia to ensure you are comfortable throughout the entire procedure. Once you are sedated, your surgeon will begin creating incisions. The incisions run down in front of the ears and curve under the hairline. Once the incisions are made, our plastic surgeons can tighten underlying tissues and trim excess tissue. In some cases, liposuction may be used to remove excess fat tissue. Finally, the incisions are closed in a way that subtly tightens facial skin to restore youthful contours.

RECOVERING FROM FULL FACELIFT

After the procedure, patients should plan on resting and avoiding activity for about a week. You may experience temporary swelling, bruising, and tenderness, but any discomfort should be manageable with the medications prescribed by your surgeon. Keeping your head elevated and limiting activity will aid in healing during the first week.

There will be sutures along the hairline, securely protected by heavy bandaging. Sutures and bandaging are usually removed after about five days. Recovery can take several weeks, depending on the extent of your surgery. Patients are usually able to return to their everyday routines in about 10 days. Post-operative appointments will allow your surgeon to monitor your recovery. You may experience some numbness following your surgery. This is normal and should subside in the following weeks.

4 Myths about Facelift in Mexico

With so much information about the positives of a facelift in Mexico, likely, you have also found negative information. And instead of avoiding it, we want to clarify it. In this section, we want to address 4 common myths about plastic surgeries in Mexico.

  • The facilities and hospitals in Mexico are not safe.

Myth 1: Healthcare in Mexico is unsafe. Hospitals are basic, and they are dirty. Patients are constantly at-risk.

Fact: Healthcare in Mexico is highly regulated and one of the world’s best. Tijuana, for example, is consistently a top 3 medical tourism destination worldwide. And there are 4 main reasons for this: 1) you can obtain high-quality medical care in different languages, 2) Tijuana is easily accessible by land and air, 3) clinics and hospitals provide the most advanced procedures, and 4) doctors are highly trained and have international accreditation.

What can you do about it? As we have explained before, the ideal patient is the one that does his research. To ensure safe plastic surgery in Mexico, you must find a reliable and high-quality medical provider. We find the best clinics and health experts for your service at Health and Wellness Bazar.

  • Plastic surgeons in Mexico are of poor quality.

Myth 2: All doctors in Mexico are low quality. Surgery with a Mexican surgeon risks your life because you don’t know for sure if the doctor is qualified.

Fact: To be certified as a plastic surgeon in Mexico, you must undergo extensive and highly specialized training. However, fake doctors could deceive patients just like anywhere else in the world. Nevertheless, if you select a doctor with certifications and qualifications as a plastic surgeon, you will know you’re in the hands of an expert.

What can you do about it? One more time, research. Make sure you research the surgeon thoroughly. You can ask for their medical license number and confirm that it is part of the Mexican Association of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery (AMCPER). This association is the highest plastic surgery board in Mexico, like the American Board of Plastic Surgery in the United States.

At Health and Wellness Bazar, we only work with the best plastic surgeons in Mexico. You can check on our website their biography and professional information. In addition, you can also see former patient testimonials or look them up online to confirm that you will be in the hands of experts.

  • The prices in Mexico are so low because there are no actual medical regulations.

Myth 3: Plastic surgery hospitals and clinics cut corners everywhere. There is no standard for the facilities, and the medical services are not regulated.

Fact: Mexico invests a lot of funds to attract foreign patients. For this reason, the facilities the government approves to treat foreigners are modern and state-of-the-art. These private hospitals and clinics make an extra effort to be clean, safe and relaxing for patients.

What can you do about it? Yes, one more time: research. If you want the best healthcare available, as anybody would, take your time to check the facility where you will get your Facelift in Mexico. As you ensure who will be your doctor, check the facility’s credentials. At Health and Wellness Bazar, we understand that being treated in comfortable and safe hospitals is part of the experience. For this reason, before including a hospital or clinic in our team, we ensure it complies with the highest standards.

  • After surgery, the doctor in Mexico will not be able to follow up on your recovery.

Myth 4:  Doctors in Mexico are only after your money. Once they discharge you, they will forget about you.

Fact: Hundreds of past patients can vouch that their medical team supported them after their surgery. A reliable plastic surgeon will readily answer your questions even from afar. Additionally, they should explain how you can ask questions, contact them in case you need additional information, and sometimes provide a health expert that keeps in contact with you.

What can you do about it? Before committing to plastic surgery, ask about aftercare. Discuss with the doctor how long you need to be in Mexico and how the doctor and medical team will follow up when you return home. Good doctors will explain how they handle the recovery period for patients who live abroad.

Our Health and Wellness Bazar medical team will provide detailed post-treatment instructions to ensure a successful recovery. They will produce post-operative reports and medical records to take home and share with your family doctors. And, of course, they will maintain contact with you, so you never feel alone.
